KOOSHY are one of the most versatile and experienced wedding/corporate function bands throughout Scotland. 2 members of this popular 3-piece band (Bob on vocals and Charlie on lead guitar} are former members of PYRAMID, probably Aberdeen's most popular corporate band of the 80s & 90s.
They have a vast repertoire of music from the 50s right through to the present day covering tastes such as: blues, rock, soul, tamla-motown, swing, scottish, country and of course pop music. Indeed if the client has a favourite request from anywhere in the world that is not in KOOSHY’S normal play list, the band will make a point of learning it for the occasion.
KOOSHY carry a vast experience with its members having played throughout Europe, from the very young to those not so very young and of course to many different musical cultures. They have performed in many of the top venues and at many special events from The Oil Exhibition in Aberdeen to The Boat Show in the South of England.
Apart from the music the lads are always happy to have a bit of banter with their audience and are known to get involved in the occasional party game. They are also extremely happy to sit down with the client beforehand to plan out certain surprise happenings for any special guests.
Along with the band comes a great lighting and sound system ensuring a great atmosphere and although KOOSHY start and finish each show there is also a disco set somewhere in the middle of the evening whilst the band refresh themselves…all part of the show!
SOMETHING EXTRA FOR THE EVENT?
As an extra and just to make the wedding day that bit special there are often requests for a song to be sung at the actual wedding. This can be anything from Ave Maria in Latin or Italian to a favourite song of either the bride or bride's mother. And either in acapella or with, say, acoustic guitar.
