To register with XS Promotions please provide me with the following information (where possible) which subject to acceptance will be uploaded to the website at www.xsp.co.uk. Don't worry if the only thing you can provide at this stage is a biography, although the more you provide me with, the easier it will be to present you to my clients.
BANDS & MUSICAL PERFORMERS
1. Artist Biography (max. 400 words).
2. One video clip (in .avi, .mpg or .wmv format & max 5 min.) to be converted by us into a YouTube video OR an 'embed URL' for an existing YouTube video.
3. A maximum of three MP3's (if you cannot transfer from CD to MP3 please send in CD by mail).
4. A picture ideally in JPG format (if not possible please send in photograph by mail).
5. A set list (please submit a list of your most popular 50 songs inc. the original artists).
OTHER ARTISTS
1. Artist Biography (max. 400 words - please try and use up all 400 words!).
2. One video clip (in .avi, .mpg or .wmv format & max 5 min.) to be converted by us into a YouTube video OR an Embed URL for an existing YouTube video.
3. Picture ideally in JPG format (if not possible please send in photograph by mail).
Needless to say, the artists that provide me with the most publicity material will inevitably be the ones that procure the most work, in this ever-increasingly Internet based world.
Information relevant to the biography for BANDS and MUSICAL PERFORMERS would be from the following:
1. Year that the band formed (or year you started in the entertainment business)
2. Instrumentation and vocal abilities of the band
3. Styles of music
4. Name a few of the best venues you've played at and any high profile gigs you have had
5. Anything that makes you stand out - i.e. stage wear, high quality PA, lights, good 'calling' ability for Scottish country dancing, willingness to learn clients' favourite songs etc.
Set List: to facilitate the uploading of the set list, please submit the set list as song followed by the most popular artist that people associate with the song, all words starting with a capital, and with one space, a hyphen, and another space between the title and song:
Who's Sorry Now - Connie Francis
I Should Have Known Better - Jim Diamond
D.I.V.O.R.C.E. - Tammy Wynette
Ball And Chain - Lionel Richie
Many thanks for your co-operation.
Ean Jones
