Cutting Edge are one of Scotland’s most versatile live function bands, delivering a brilliant mix of pop favourites, Scottish classics and dancefloor fillers for weddings, corporate events, private parties and special occasions throughout Scotland. Based in Dundee but travelling nationwide, the band have built a strong reputation for combining outstanding musicianship with a friendly, relaxed and professional approach that works equally well for intimate functions or packed evening receptions.

Performing everything from timeless 1960s classics right through to modern party anthems from the 2000s and beyond, Cutting Edge pride themselves on reading the room and creating the perfect atmosphere for every audience. Whether it’s a lively wedding dancefloor, a corporate dinner or a private celebration, the band deliver a polished, energetic live show packed with recognisable hits and crowd favourites.

What really sets Cutting Edge apart is their authentic Scottish flavour. Featuring an exceptional accordion player within the band, they can effortlessly include traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing alongside their modern party set — giving clients the best of both worlds. From Gay Gordons and Dashing White Sergeant to Strip The Willow and Canadian Barn Dance, the band not only perform the dances brilliantly, but also call them clearly and professionally to make sure everybody can join in, even complete beginners.

Available as a 3-piece, 4-piece or full 5-piece line-up, Cutting Edge can tailor their performance to suit everything from smaller intimate venues to larger weddings and corporate events. The band can appear in smart stage wear for a contemporary function look, or in full Highland dress and kilts for a more traditional Scottish presentation — creating a flexible package that combines modern live entertainment with genuine Scottish character.
