Simon Stevenson has over 30 years' experience in the entertainment industry and is a business partner in XSP Entertainments. During that time he has provided professional DJ, quiz, karaoke and event services at hundreds of weddings, corporate functions and private events throughout Scotland. He is known for his reliability, attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure, even when those around him are doing their very best not to.
Simon provides far more than just music. From ceremony sound and speech support to large-screen presentations, quizzes, karaoke and full evening entertainment, his role is often as much event manager as DJ. His technical knowledge ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, allowing clients to focus on enjoying their day rather than worrying about microphones, cables or whether Uncle Bob has somehow managed to unplug something important.
People often ask what makes Simon better than Spotify. The answer is quite simple. Spotify can play songs. Simon can read a room, adapt to changing circumstances, solve problems, host events, take sensible requests and judge exactly when Sweet Caroline should be played. Spotify has never successfully organised a wedding reception, settled a dispute over the first dance or found a spare extension lead five minutes before the speeches.
