SPORTING SPEAKERS ‘DOUBLE ACT’ - Q&A EXPERTS - SCOTLAND INTERNATIONALS - RADIO & TV PUNDITS - COMEDY - LAUGHTER!
SIMON DONNELLY and CHARLIE MILLER have been lifelong friends, and were delighted to join up again to tell their story from their humble beginnings in Glasgow to playing for the Scottish international squad and Premier League teams home and abroad.
With no shortage of humour and rigourous honesty, you will hear stories (some never told before) delivered with a rapport and banter that only two ex-footballers who have known each other since childhood could ever achieve!
Simon made 335 professional appearances for clubs including Partick Thistle, Sheffield Wednesday and Glasgow Celtic, and was capped 21 times for the Scotland International squad (full caps + U21) including games against Denmark, the USA, and Columbia.
Forced to retire due to injury, Simon became assistant manager at Dundee United before moving into radio and TV punditry, which in turn led to DONNELLY & MILLER’S hilarious participation in the popular touring theatre show ‘Singing I’m No A Billy, He’s A Tim’.
Charlie made 334 professional appearances (including 131 games in the English Premier League) and played for Leicester, Watford, Glasgow Rangers and Dundee United, as well as for top level clubs in Belgium, Norway, and Australia.
In his 6 caps for Scotland (including U21) he starred in the Scotland U21 team who famously reached the 1996 Euros semifinals, narrowly losing 2-1 to a Spanish team including Morientes and Mendieta, and against a France team including Viera, Wiltord, Pires, and Makalele.
In a 12-year career Jim played with Stranraer, Queen Of The South, and Kilmarnock (where he scored 20 goals in 102 appearances) and ended his playing years in the most notorious Scottish derby of all time…Auchinleck v. Cumnock!
An experienced speaker in his own right, Jim performs multiple roles in DONNELLY & MILLER including that of MC, Compère, Q&A Host, and Auctioneer. If your event has a fundraising element to it…Jim really is your man!
Simon and Charlie discovered a completely new fanbase when they were asked to provide the ‘football commentary’ for the smash hit theatre show ‘Singing I’m No A Billy, He’s A Tim’ which recently celebrated 20-years of touring to sell-out shows.
