Formed in Glasgow in the 1960s, Marmalade remain one of the most successful pop bands ever to emerge from Scotland. Still fronted by long-time lead singer Sandy Newman — who has now been with the band since 1975 — Marmalade continue to perform the timeless songs that made them international chart stars and one of the biggest names of the classic pop era.

Marmalade made music history when their recording of Lennon & McCartney’s “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” reached number one in 1969, making them the first ever Scottish band to top the UK Singles Chart. The single became a worldwide smash hit, selling over a million copies globally and forever linking Marmalade with The Beatles and one of the greatest songwriting partnerships of all time.

Their remarkable catalogue of hits also includes “Reflections Of My Life”, “Baby Make It Soon”, “Rainbow”, “Lovin’ Things”, “Cousin Norman”, “Radancer”, “Falling Apart At The Seams” and “I See The Rain” — a song famously described by Jimi Hendrix as “the best cut of 1967”. “Reflections Of My Life” alone sold over two million copies worldwide and became a major hit across Europe, America and South America.

During their incredible career Marmalade toured with legendary names including Pink Floyd, The Who, Joe Cocker and Traffic, building a reputation as one of Britain’s finest live acts. Today, their concerts continue to deliver nostalgia, singalong classics and the unmistakable sound that has kept Marmalade entertaining audiences around the world for more than five decades.
