STUART MITCHELL • COMEDIAN & AFTER DINNER SPEAKER
Stuart Mitchell is one of Scotland’s most in-demand comedians, presenters and corporate hosts, combining razor-sharp writing with an effortlessly likeable stage presence. Having started performing stand-up in 2009, Stuart has gone on to establish himself as a major name on the UK comedy circuit, with critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows, national tours and millions of online views through his hugely popular Glesga Da content.
He is currently the longest running panellist on BBC Scotland’s Breaking The News and recently starred in his own BBC Radio 4 series Cost of Living. A second series, Cost of Dying, has already been commissioned and is due to air in July 2025. Stuart has also appeared across a wide range of television and radio programmes including The News Quiz, The Blame Game and Chris McCausland’s You Heard It Here First.
His debut Edinburgh Fringe show Dealt a Bad Hand received critical acclaim and sold out audiences throughout its run at The Pleasance Courtyard, eventually adding extra performances due to demand. Follow-up show Gordon Ramsay’s Karma Café continued that success, earning a string of excellent 4 and 5-star reviews and further cementing Stuart’s reputation as one of Scotland’s leading stand-up comedians.
Away from theatres and comedy clubs, Stuart is also highly sought-after as an awards host, event compère and after-dinner entertainer. With a background that includes working at HM Treasury and in the banking sector before making the leap into comedy full-time, he brings intelligence, warmth and quick-thinking humour to every event, making him equally at home entertaining corporate audiences, charity dinners and major live events across the UK and beyond.
